This country trail runs roughly between the boundaries
of Lantau North and Lantau South Country Parks.
Just 200m from the starting point you find East
Lantau Stream, arushing cascade that gathers 6
tributaries that plunge down from the north eastern
slope of Lantau Peak. The flow is all year round.
Moving on, about 300m ahead, the
trail gives spectacular views : Sunset Peak in the
east, Shek Sze Shan and Wo Liu Tun in the northeast,
and the Tung Chung alluvial plain in the north. More
than ten rural abundant villages originally scattered
on the lowland. They gave way for tower blocks upon
development of Tung Chung new town.
The trail ends at Tei Tong Tsai.
There is a Po Lam Monastery surrounded by old pines.
An ancient path outside the Monastery leads to Po
Lin Monastery at Ngong Ping. For centuries, villagers
traveled on this ancient trail to commute between
Tung Chung and Ngong Ping.
