Make a start at the Ngong Ping bus terminus, and take
the tree- lined footpath next to Po Lin Monastery.
Arriving at the Tea Garden, this path gives splendid
views of two grand massifs. On your right stands
Lantau Peak, HongKong'ssecond highest peak, while
on the left the majestic Nei Lak Shan rears up
751m above sea level.
The main spur of
Lantau Peak is 934m high. Its uplands, shrouded in
mist almost all year round, is a unique local sight
named"the Illusory Phoenix". Another stop
is the Buddhist Ancient Walk which begins at the
Tung Shan Pai Lau and winds down through the Po Lam
Monastery and Lo Hon Monastery towards Tung Chung.
The next stop"Tree
Walk"is a loop of 350m where there are 20 native
plants commonly seen on Ngong Ping Plateau."Lantau
Sunrise"is one of Hong Kong's most famous sights.

"Ngong Ping
Lake View"offers a panorama of the magnificent
Shek Pik Reservoir. The last stop, "Aroma Walk"explains
why Ngong Ping is famous for its production of Misty
Tea.
Important Note
: The routes mentioned above vary in length. Hikers
should choose one that suit their physical ability.
Climbing Lantau Peak requires hiking experience and
good planning. Do not make an attempt unprepared.
