This hike starts at the four-hectare Nam Shan Barbecue
Area. from there, walk up through the pinewood
which were planted here in the past - and soon
you have an impressive view over Pui O. Passing
through the 534 metre height point, there is extensive
secondary forest. Walking uphill to Sheung Tung
Au, which lies between Yi Tung Shan and Ling Fa
Shan, you have a anoramic view of Hong Kong International
Airport. Walk straight ahead for about one kilometre,
where signs show the starting point ofWongLungHangCountry
Trail. Walk straight ahead to the distance marker
C1201 of the trail, where a flatter section allows
you to view the Wong Lung Falls, half a kilometre
away to the east.
Wong Lung Hang
is where more than 20 tributaries from the Lin Fa
Shan west slopes, Yi Tung Shan and the Sunset Peak
north slopes meet. Wong Lung Hang After heavy rain,
the great torrent of Wong Hang rushes down the ravine
for Tung Chung Bay like a dragon in motion. This
exhilarating sight is known as the "Flying Water
of Wong Lung".
