Closure of Trails, Roads and Facilities in Country Park

A certain area of Site No. 5 of Sai Kung Tai Mong Tsai Barbecue Area was closed for slope improvement works with immediate effect. We are sorry for any inconvenience caused.

Due to the reconstruction works, Tai Lam Forest Track - Tsing Lung Tau Section is temporarily closed. Vehicles and riding bicycle will not be allowed to pass through this track section from 2 September to 15 December 2010 except Saturdays, Sundays and Public Holidays. However, hiker with or without carrying bicycle will be be affected in walking through this track section.

Due to construction of a new toilet near Pak Tam Chung in Sai Kung West Country Park, a session of the Pak Tam Chung Tree Walk and Pak Tam Chung Hiking Practice Trail has to be closed (see attached map) from 10 November 2008 until further notice. Due to the slope maintenance works at Lai Chi Hang in Tai Po Kau Nature Reserve, this part of the Tai Po Kau Forest Track (Kau Lead Section) will be closed temporarily from 7 June 2010 to 30 September 2010. Vehicles will not be allowed to pass through this section. Hikers will not be affected.

Lai Chi Wo Nature Trail Board-Walk ˇV Coastal Section will be temporarily closed from 30 January, 2010 until further notice. Some dangerous trees will be removed and some conservation works will be carried out for the White-flowered Derris. For the sake of public safety and smooth conservation works, visitors are strongly advised not to enter the board-walk coastal area. Visitors are welcomed to visit other sections of the Lai Chi Wo Nature Trail including the ˇ¨fung shui woodˇ¨ and the viewing point near Siu Tan. We are sorry for any inconvenience caused.
